2017+ Audi R8 Carbon Fiber Aero FAQ
What years does this fit?
This aero program is engineered specifically for the 2017–2019 Audi R8. All mounting points are designed around the factory chassis and body geometry.
Does this fit with OEM sensors?
Yes. All components are designed to retain full OEM sensor functionality, including parking sensors, cameras, and ADAS systems. No warning lights, no recalibration required when installed correctly.
Street vs track — what's the difference?
Street spec prioritizes everyday usability, factory ride height tolerance, and durability while still delivering meaningful aerodynamic gains.
Track spec is more aggressive, optimized for downforce and airflow efficiency at speed, and may reduce ground clearance further. It's built for performance first, comfort second.
Do I need professional installation?
Yes. Professional installation is strongly recommended. This is a precision aero system that interfaces with factory mounting points, torque specs, and alignment tolerances. A qualified exotic or performance shop ensures proper fitment, finish, and long-term reliability.
How much ground clearance is reduced?
Ground clearance reduction varies by component and configuration, but typically ranges from 10–20 mm for street setups. Track configurations may reduce clearance further depending on aero elements selected. Exact measurements are provided per component.
Carbon vs forged — which should I choose?
Carbon fiber is ideal if you want maximum weight savings, visual impact, and cutting-edge motorsport aesthetics.
Forged composite offers exceptional durability, impact resistance, and a more subtle OEM+ appearance.
If you're chasing looks and performance, go carbon.
If you want bulletproof daily usability, forged is the smart play.
